E H Price has been on a successful Lean Journey since 2000. The key to success is the commitment and skill of the Shop Floor Leadership Team. Real front-line leaders will tell the story, share their perspectives, and provide candid advice.
E H Price started down the Lean path almost six years ago. In that timeframe, the company has experienced productivity gains of app. 50%, grown at 15% per year, dominated the Canadian market, and become the second largest competitor in the US. Given the shift in US currency exchange rates over the past three years, the company would not be viable in Canada today if not for these gains. One of the keys to success has been the development and commitment of the front-line, shop-floor leadership team. They have embraced the principles of lean, and been empowered to “make it happen” on the floor. The journey has not been without casualties – most of the shop-floor leadership team was changed out.

A multi-site manufacturing company Executive with 20 years of experience in driving continuous improvement, lean and cellular manufacturing. President and Chief Operating Officer of E H Price, a leading manufacturer of air distribution products in Canada and the US. Formerly Executive Vice President of Operations at Inscape Corporation, and a General Manager of a Division of Magna International.
Paul Remillard, Vice President of Operations
Architect and leader of Price’s Lean Journey. Paul has been a vital part of the journey, first as a Cell Team Leader, then Value Stream Manager, and finally progressing to the top leadership role in the company’s Winnipeg plant. He has direct, first-hand experience from all angles.
