Presentation
Abstract :

Canadian Tire Corporation's Supply Chain has engaged in Lean methodology over the last several years beginning with the Distribution environment as well as the Transportation Division in the last year. Through implementing the process in Transportation and focussing on upstream and downstream impacts to internal stakeholders and customers an opportunity presented itself to take on a cross -functional "Leaning Out' approach as it related the Coordinated effort of Outbound Load Departures- between the Distribution Shipping Team, and Transportation's Dispatch and Guardhouse Operations.

This presentation would provide a summary of how applying Lean Methodology to this cross-functional environment provided improvements to upstream and downstream process and ensured customer expectations were met and exceeded.
