Presentation
Abstract :

Creating Momentum and Leverage for Change with an Effective Moonshine Strategy

Many companies today tout the fact that they have “leaned” their productions systems, but time after time, have failed to maintain the gains or have invested an unwarranted amount of resources to maintain the gains of localized improvements within a system that continually struggles against the change.

Boeing Canada Technology, Winnipeg Division achieved breakthrough performance gains implementing the Boeing Production System in an increasingly competitive composite manufacturing environment. Stabilizing the system and sustaining the improvements over time however, presents a great challenge. Join Norine Murray, Lean Promotion/Transformation Manager as she shares the journey and the lessons learned implementing the Boeing Production System in one of Winnipeg Division’s product value streams.

Rapid in-house prototyping and equipment development powered by in-house Moonshine Shop knowledge and skill have accelerated lean success in Winnipeg Division. You’ll take away best practices in Moonshine Shop set-up and management, as well as examples of production proven tactics, right size equipment and mistake proofing concepts to improve flow, quality, and productivity within your organization.
