DAVID HOGG
David Hogg is the founding President of both HPS Inc. and the HPM Consortium which developed the model for most Lean consortiums in Canada, Australia, and the US. David will share cultural issues drawn from over 30 years of experience that impact the implementation and sustainment of competitiveness-enhancing approaches in companies and consortiums.
Throughout his careers ranging from Aerospace though to Marketing, Applied Education, and Technology Transfer with the Ontario Centre for Advanced Manufacturing – he’s been committed to ‘make a difference that matters.’ He will share the insights learned from bringing the first Lean Mfg. conference to Canada in 1998 as part of a strategy to give consortiums real-world role models to help sustain their implementations. Lean Consortiums have been recognized by the MIT Sloan Management Review as “Leveraged Learning Networks” which exist to accelerate companies on their Lean journey to enable them to compete and win in the global marketplace. David writes two Weekly Newsletters – one for over 15 years. He believes successful consortiums understand that “No company can possibly live long enough to make all the mistakes themselves.” David will chair the 2,500 person Lean Conference in 2008 in Toronto.
