GERD DEBEER
Based in Toronto, Mr. DeBeer is a member of the global industrial practice and leads Korn/Ferry International’s automotive practice for Canada.
Mr. DeBeer works across all industrial sectors responsible for client development and search execution activities for chief executive officers, presidents and operational heads of sales, marketing, manufacturing, information technology and finance.
Prior to joining Korn/Ferry International as a Client Partner, Mr. DeBeer was a director and member of the leadership team of Autofacts Retailer Capabilities Division of Pricewaterhouse-Coopers LLP, where he focused on business strategy and the development and implementation of business process improvement activities, in particular on operational efficiency, manufacturing, distribution, sales and marketing.
Before joining PwC, Mr. DeBeer spent 22 years in the automotive manufacturing and distribution sectors in senior leadership roles with North American and Japanese OEM automotive manufacturers and distributors where he had responsibility for product introductions, marketing, sales, supply chain management and logistics.
He is an active member of the Association for Manufacturing Excellence and the Institute Of Marketing Management and is the author or co-author of various white papers on the automotive retail sector, and most recently published the paper titled “Canadian Engineering Drought – A Potential Canadian Bottleneck.
Mr. DeBeer is a graduate of the Institute of Marketing Management in South Africa and is a Registered Professional Marketer.
